Job summary

ICTS (UK) Ltd is expanding its Aviation Security (AvSec) Training Team to support ongoing high-quality delivery at Southampton Airport. We seek dedicated trainers with a passion for training and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards in aviation security.

A minimum of 5 years checkable background is required, plus the ability to obtain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) clearance. Flexibility with working hours and a full UK driving licence are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver initial and recurrent training courses per CAA requirements.
• Oversee internal training programmes (DNXCT, CBT, Health & Safety).
• Maintain and update training records; ensure compliance through QA tracking.
• Lead and motivate staff; monitor daily officer performance.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners on training matters.
• Ensure readiness for internal and external audits; conduct quality audits and action plans.
• Undertake additional duties as directed by Training Manager; travel to other locations as required.

Job description

• Deliver initial and recurrent training courses, including:
• Ground Security Operative (GSO)
• Ground Security Supervisor (GSS)
• Aviation Security Management (ASM)
• (All in accordance with CAA regulatory requirements)
• Oversee and support internal training programmes such as:
• Digital National X‑Ray Competency Testing (DNXCT)
• Computer‑Based Training (CBT)
• Health and Safety courses
• Deliver additional security related training as required by ICTS and ensure timely distribution of certificates to HR and local management teams upon course completion.
• Maintain and update all training records and ensure compliance through accurate tracking and regular monitoring of all training activities.
• Lead by example, motivate staff, and take responsibility for the standards of training and training documentation within assigned areas of responsibility, including the maintenance of training records and Regular review and upkeep of training matrices.
• Oversee, deliver, and maintain records for On‑the‑Job Training (OJT).
• Conduct covert and overt testing as required, ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded.
• Monitor daily performance of officers and provide support and feedback where necessary.
• Maintain your own Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to meet accreditation requirements.
• Comply with all Quality Assurance Framework requirements
• Ensure readiness for internal and external audits
• Conduct quality audits of training and create action plans where needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments, business partners, and third‑party stakeholders to provide guidance on training related matters.

This role is based at Southampton Airport, with flexibility to travel and provide support at other locations as required for operational needs.
