Job summary

MTS Recruitment Limited is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead a busy aviation maintenance Technical Services Department in Stansted, ensuring documentation, work packages, and engineering support are delivered on time and in full compliance with EASA Part 145 regulations.

This senior leadership role focuses on safety, quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced aviation setting, with a salary of £72,000–£75,000.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical/engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in aviation maintenance and Part 145.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong regulatory compliance and safety systems understanding.
• Advanced IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Technical Services team with workload planning.
• Ensure timely delivery of engineering work packages and release docs for CAMO.
• Oversee compliance with Part 145, MOE, and procedures.
• Supervise technical records, work reports, documentation control.
• Coordinate material requisition with Purchasing and Stores.
• Maintain and update technical publications with OEM revisions.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Promote a strong safety culture and mitigate risks.
• Act as escalation point for technical services issues.
