Job summary

Powervamp in Kempston, UK, seeks an experienced electrical/electronic engineer to design, develop, and maintain electrical and power systems for GSE products. You will work across the full development cycle with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure robust integration and reliable operation in aviation ground support environments.

You will design schematics, harnesses, and HMIs, develop tests, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 3+ years in electrical engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAN communication in control systems.
• Proficient in schematic capture and harness design.
• Ability to read signal traces and troubleshoot faults clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and component layouts using CAD software.
• Integrate electrical components into mechanical systems and design robust harnesses.
• Develop test procedures, run tests, analyze data, and troubleshoot faults.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and safety regulations.
• Prepare BOMs, operating manuals, and maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing teams and suppliers to deliver projects.
• Design HMIs and interface elements for operators.
• Connect sensors, motors, and drives to PLCs and integrate with PLC software.
• Proficiency in PLC control systems and handling HV/LV electrical systems.
