A global engineering consultancy is seeking an Electronics Engineer in Birmingham to design, develop, and test complex electronic systems. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in electronics design, encompassing work with power electronics and embedded systems. Candidates should be skilled in MATLAB and PCB CAD tools, with knowledge of aerospace standards preferred. Qualifications
5–10 years of experience in electronics design and development, preferably in aerospace, defence, or military programmes.
Familiarity with industry standards including DO-254 and DO-160.
Strong technical writing, communication, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test electronic and electrical hardware components.
Integrate power electronics converters with associated subsystems.
Research, select, and evaluate electronic and electrical components.
Skills
Strong analogue and digital electronics design
Experience with electronic system integration, verification, and testing
Knowledge of power electronics, embedded systems, and thermal management solutions
Competent in MATLAB, LTSpice, and PCB CAD tools
Experience with ANSYS or thermal simulation
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
