Job summary

Optime Group is seeking a proactive Ground Handler for a permanent role at Farnborough Airport. You will join the Ground Handling team, delivering a bespoke, high-quality service to customers in a fast-paced aviation environment.

The role requires reliable, hands-on individuals who can work as part of a team, adhere to safety standards, and provide exceptional customer service. A full UK driving license and security clearance are essential, with a range of benefits and a rolling shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive attitude with a can-do approach
• Good literacy and numerical skills for handling procedures
• Competent IT user supporting operational tasks
• Right to work in the UK and ability to obtain security clearance
• Able to lift passengers' bags and oversize items up to 20 kg

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient marshalling service to arriving aircraft
• Perform aircraft pushback, towing and maneuvering into hangars
• Conduct manual handling of heavy equipment safely
• Fuel aircraft and perform quality checks on fuel
• Service aircraft toilets and water supplies
• Handle baggage and assist with loading/unloading luggage
• Conduct de-icing and quality control of de-icing activities
• Support crew and customer service teams as needed
• Communicate clearly via radio, phones and electronic systems
• Inspect and maintain Ground Service Equipment (GSE)
