Job summary

Swissport at Stansted Airport is seeking a Cargo Warehouse / Ramp Agent to organize cargo handling, load/unload operations, and ensure safety and SOP compliance. The role covers cage-to-cargo flows, paperwork accuracy, and equipment operation in a fast-paced environment.

You will work across day, evening, night shifts, and weekends, with training and opportunities to progress as you contribute to secure cargo movements under aviation regulations.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to lift up to 32 kg repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading air cargo onto vehicles and storage areas.
• Preparing and palletising cargo as needed.
• Ensuring paperwork related to the cargo is correct.
• Assuring proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment.
• Following Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations.
• Delivering air cargo to appropriate recipient if required.
• Providing special handling of live animals as required.
• Driving and/or operating specialist equipment such as vans, forklifts, cargo dollies/trailers.
• Reporting all equipment malfunctions to the supervisor/manager.
• Complying with legislation, airport authority and carrier security requirements.
• Complying with Swissport SOPs and maintaining high safety standards.
