Job summary

Swissport UK&I is seeking enthusiastic team members for our Cargo team. The role blends warehouse and office duties, handling air cargo, customs docs, invoicing, and data entry while maintaining safety and security standards.

Interviews will be remote via Teams; some in-person meetings with station staff may be required. Salary listed as £26,422.50 per year and £13.55 per hour, with opportunities across UK&I airports.

Qualifications

• At least three GCSEs or equivalent.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
• Ability to speak and understand English
• Willingness to travel to the airport when public transport is unavailable
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• IT literate and able to learn airline systems
• Able to follow processes and apply flexibility
• Willingness to work in inclement weather
• Demonstrates good customer service
• Commitment to continuous improvement
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to lift up to 32kg and work in a manual environment
• Able to work as a team in a fast-paced environment
• Hold a full driving licence
• Previous aviation experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Handle and move air cargo in the warehouse.
• Load and unload freight safely
• Complete office-based admin tasks including customs docs and invoicing
• Provide basic reception and customer service support
• Follow safety standards and Swissport SOPs
• Prepare and palletize cargo
• Ensure paperwork related to cargo is correct
• Deliver air cargo to recipients as required
• Operate equipment such as vans and forklifts
• Additional warehouse duties as required
