Live Recruitment is seeking an AV & Event Production - Business Development Manager in Coventry. The first dedicated sales hire will build the new-business engine, reporting to the MD, with hybrid work and international travel.
You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close, and receive uncapped commission on a strong, repeat-revenue platform. You will open agency relationships, develop existing accounts and shape pricing and proposals with the MD, while maintaining CRM
Repeat-revenue accounts at leading UK agencies and brands, a £2m equipment fleet, and a clear trajectory from £3.5m to £10m. The AV & Event Production - Business Development Manager who joins first builds the sales function from scratch, earns uncapped commission on a base that already converts, and sits directly alongside the MD on strategy.
This is a thriving technical production partner trusted by leading UK event, exhibition and creative agencies. The business plans, integrates and delivers AV, LED, video and event technology for exhibitions, conferences and live experiences across the UK and internationally. With an equipment fleet worth over £2m and almost all revenue built on referrals and repeat business, the foundation is solid. The plan now is deliberate, structured growth, and they are hiring their first AV & Event Production - Business Development Manager to drive it.
As AV & Event Production - Business Development Manager, you are the first dedicated sales hire in the business, reporting directly to the MD and responsible for building the new-business engine that drives the company's next stage of growth.
The right candidate brings proven new-business sales experience in events or production services, with a track record of running the full sales cycle from cold prospecting through to close. To be considered as AV & Event Production - Business Development Manager, you will need demonstrable ability to build and manage a pipeline over long sales cycles, develop agency relationships, and turn first projects into retained accounts.
Experience selling AV, technical production or exhibition services is beneficial but not essential, as is familiarity with the UK and international event market or comfort in hands‑on technical conversations on site. What matters most is the ambition to build something, the discipline to manage a complex pipeline, and the confidence to work with genuine autonomy.
In return, you get uncapped commission on a strong repeat‑revenue base, real autonomy to build and eventually lead a sales function, and direct access to the MD from day one. This is a rare opportunity to step into a commercially significant role with genuine ownership, and interviews are being arranged now.
We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, embracing diversity across all intersecting dimensions, including ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, well‑being, abilities, and neurodiversity.
