Methods Business and Digital Technology Limited in the UK is seeking an experienced User Researcher to join our growing team on a permanent basis. You will champion the user, conduct research on public sector projects to high ethical standards, and align with GDS standards.

You will work in agile multidisciplinary teams, develop personas, journey maps, and present findings to product teams and stakeholders, turning insights into prototypes and features that meet user needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and passion for user-centered design practices.
• Experience undertaking user research and using a range of methods (usability testing, interviews, surveys).
• Experience working in agile multidisciplinary teams to build digital products and services.
• Ability to develop user needs, personas/mindsets, journey maps, and other artefacts.
• Experience applying ethical research practices and obtaining consent.
• Ability to gather evidence to support decisions and translate findings for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Champion the user on services and products.
• Plan and conduct user research, develop recruitment briefs, analyze data, and present findings.
• Tell compelling stories of research insights to audiences.
• Collaborate with the product team to translate findings into prototypes and features.
• Present insights and recommendations to product teams and wider stakeholders.
• Promote user-centred design principles within government projects.
• Undertake qualitative and quantitative studies (ethnography, usability).
