Job summary

Methods Business and Digital Technology Limited is seeking a Senior User Researcher to join our growing team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on understanding user needs, conducting ethical research on public sector projects, and championing user-centred design.

You will work with product managers to devise research strategies, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and advocate for users to shape accessible, effective services. Mentoring and leading others is a core part of the role.

Qualifications

• Passion for behavioural research and user-centred design.
• Ability to lead and mentor colleagues.
• Experience working in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Devise research strategies with client product managers to generate focused insights for product development.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team by including colleagues in research activities.
• Advocate for users and communicate their needs to inform service design.
• Synthesize diverse evidence into actionable conclusions.
• Guide decision-making even when details are not clear.
• Coordinate quality user research across the Digital Delivery portfolio.
• Mentor other researchers and share best practices.
• Set and monitor standards for research ethics, lab testing, recruitment and documentation.
• Provide peer-review to services for quality assurance.
