Job summary
Matchtech is recruiting for an Autonomous Systems Engineer to join a world-leading defence technology team in the UK. You will design, develop and integrate autonomy and control software for crewed and uncrewed platforms, working with software, systems, aerospace and robotics specialists to move from concept to deployment.
Essential experience includes strong C/C++, safety-critical development, systems engineering and modelling/simulation.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Robotics or related STEM field.
- Experience with autonomous systems and robotics.
- Background in control and autonomy development within safety-critical environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop autonomy and control software for advanced autonomous systems.
- Design algorithms for decision, navigation and autonomous behaviours.
- Contribute to system integration, verification and testing activities.
- Support trials across the UK and internationally.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver operational capability.
