Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work at a GP practice in Barnsley. You will deliver autonomous NP-led clinics for minor illness, provide efficient triage support and help maintain continuity of care during daily clinical activity.

You will manage triage, diagnose and treat undifferentiated presentations, and prescribe independently where qualified. The role supports GPs and Practice Nurses with core duties, with regular or ad-hoc sessions and long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Background in primary care, urgent care or community nursing.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and urgent care NP clinics
• Telephone triage and patient streaming
• Assessing, diagnosing and managing undifferentiated presentations
• Prescribing independently where qualified
• Reviewing investigations and actioning follow-up tasks
• Ensuring accurate documentation within the clinical system
• Supporting GPs and Practice Nurses with core clinical duties
