Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Wednesbury. The role focuses on autonomous NP-led clinics, minor illness management, and on-the-day demand for urgent care.

You will deliver triage, maintain continuity of care, and work within a supportive multidisciplinary team. A strong clinical background in primary care or urgent care is preferred, with opportunities for regular or ad-hoc sessions.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant clinical experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification is desirable.
• Background in primary, urgent care or community nursing.
• Autonomous clinician with strong clinical judgement.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Run minor illness and urgent care NP clinics.
• Telephone triage and patient streaming.
• Assess, diagnose and manage undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribe independently where qualified.
• Review investigations and coordinate follow-up tasks.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the clinical system.
• Support GPs and Practice Nurses with core duties.
