Job summary

Locum Ready invites a Nurse Practitioner to join a GP practice in Barnstaple on flexible locum sessions. You will deliver autonomous NP-led clinics, manage minor illness presentations and provide efficient triage to support urgent on-the-day demand.

You will work within a friendly multidisciplinary team, contributing to the smooth running of daily clinical activity and maintaining high standards of documentation and care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Background in primary care, urgent care or community nursing.
• Autonomous clinician with strong clinical judgement.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and urgent care NP clinics.
• Telephone triage and patient streaming.
• Assessing, diagnosing and managing undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Reviewing investigations and actioning follow-up tasks.
• Ensuring accurate documentation within the clinical system.
• Supporting GPs and Practice Nurses with core clinical duties.
