Job summary

Wight Healthcare is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Snowdon Neurological Rehabilitation Unit (SNRU) & Kite Unit. You will autonomously manage a diverse caseload, delivering high-quality assessments and interventions for adults with communication and swallowing needs from complex brain injuries.

You’ll educate patients and carers and support junior colleagues within a forward‑thinking MDT.

Qualifications

• Registered Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience in neuro-rehabilitation is desirable.
• Excellent communication and education skills for patients and carers.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of adults with communication and swallowing needs from complex brain injuries.
• Provide specialist assessment and intervention for neuro-rehab inpatients.
• Educate patients and carers and support junior colleagues; contribute to service development.
