Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking an experienced Lead Speech and Language Therapist at our Neuro rehabilitation service in Ashford. You will provide expert SLT assessment and treatment for adults with complex neurological needs, leading evidence-led programmes and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The role requires HCPC registration, specialist dysphagia competency, and prior supervision/line-management experience, with a focus on quality of care and service development within a seven-day model.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered SLT with neurorehabilitation experience.
• Specialist-level dysphagia competency according to the RCSLT framework.
• Formal supervision/line management experience.
• Strong communication, leadership and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SLT assessment and treatment for clients with complex neurological needs.
• Devise and implement evidence-led therapy programmes at a specialist level with multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Independently plan and lead communication therapy groups.
• Maintain high clinical standards in line with national guidance.
• Undertake key worker duties, ensuring cohesive goal-setting and discharge planning.
• Supervise less experienced SLTs and assistants; contribute to induction and training.
