Job summary

Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Nurse Practitioner for the Minor Injuries Unit. You will autonomously assess and treat both children and adults with undifferentiated conditions, providing clinical advice and education to staff within a team-based MIU model.

You should have 5+ years post-registration experience, triage/A&E background, and a CPA/degree-level CPD. This on-site role links primary and community care, emphasizing evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• NMC registered first level nurse with clinical examination qualification.
• Evidence of post-registration degree-level development and CPD in MIU/WIC.
• Minimum 5 years post-registration experience with autonomous decision making.
• Experience in triage, A&E, minor injuries or related primary care.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously assess, diagnose and treat children and adults with undifferentiated conditions at the walk-in centre.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of evidence-based nursing and clinical care.
• Provide expert advice and clinical practice.
• Work with clinical colleagues to develop services and the quality of care delivered.
• Take part in the education and development of own and other staff.
