Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly experienced Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioner to lead autonomous care in the Minor Injury Unit within the Emergency Department. You will apply advanced clinical judgement to assess, treat and discharge or refer patients with minor injuries and illnesses.

Working with a multidisciplinary team of nurses and doctors, you will contribute to audits, service development and staff education while maintaining high standards of

Qualifications

Autonomous practitioner in community or emergency settings.
X-ray interpretation, fracture management and wound closure.
NMC registration with ACP MSc/PgDip or working towards.
Independent prescriber qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

Act as expert practitioner with advanced clinical knowledge.
Ensure safe management of Minors area and delegate workload.
Deliver high-quality care to patients promptly and safely.
Provide clinical leadership within the department when required.
Support development, audits and revalidation processes.
