Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates are recruiting an experienced HSE professional to take ownership of Health, Safety & Environmental across two UK sites in Burnley. This hands-on role focuses on turning HSE standards into everyday behaviours with visibility on the shop floor.

The successful candidate will drive safety culture, lead investigations, and shape policies while preparing for future team growth. Autonomy is a key feature of this standalone position.

Qualifications

• Solid HSE experience in a manufacturing/engineering/high-risk environment.
• NEBOSH or IOSH is preferred, but substantial practical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Own HSE across two sites and work with operations to raise safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, site inspections and incident investigations.
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Advise on high-risk activities, equipment and processes; support permit-to-work systems.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and HSE training; improve PPE compliance.
• Maintain HSE records and management systems; monitor performance and reporting.
