Job summary

Anduril Industries in London is seeking a Flight Test Engineering Lead to head a small team of test engineers, plan and execute autonomous aerial vehicle flight tests, and coordinate with customers and authorities. You will drive test plans, data analysis, and reporting while ensuring safety, compliance, and field readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or related field.
• 7+ years in flight test engineering or related test disciplines.
• Experience planning and executing flight test campaigns and writing plans/cards.
• Ability to lead a small technical team through complex programs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of flight test engineers and manage workload and development.
• Own flight test campaigns from planning to post-test reporting with leadership.
• Interface with customer test authorities during joint events and evaluations.
• Make risk-informed go/no-go decisions and ensure safety of flight.
• Brief results and vehicle status to program leadership and stakeholders.
• Author and review flight test plans, test cards, and data reduction plans.
• Define test points, envelopes, and success criteria for autonomous aerial vehicles.
• Execute tests as conductor or operator, including pre/post flight activities.
• Develop instrumentation requirements and data acquisition configurations.
• Coordinate range operations and regulatory compliance for tests.
• Support design/integration of subsystems and hardware/software interfaces.
• Create physical integration environments (HIL, ground tests) for maturity.
• Perform data reduction and analysis against requirements.
• Publish detailed test reports for internal and customer audiences.
• Assist in-field debugging, repair, and maintenance during campaigns.
