Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical aerospace engineering role with delivery track record.
• Degree or higher in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Proficiency with NX/Teamcenter and CAD tools for rapid concepting.
• Solid understanding of mechanics, materials, design, testing and fabrication.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; capable of reporting professionally.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the physical design of the payload carriage and release for a novel aircraft type.
• Define requirements, propose solutions, and evaluate/verify mechanical systems with UK/US partners.
• Ensure mechanical, electrical and actuation systems form a reliable, integrated package.
• Lead design reviews, build prototypes, and implement hardware test plans.
• Improve team tools, templates, and design processes; foster collaboration.
