Job summary

Morgan Ryder is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to cover Aerospace & Defence across Northern England and Scotland, offering home-based flexibility with regular customer travel. The role focuses on developing new customers and markets, and building strong engineering relationships.

You will own the territory, identify applications, translate requirements into opportunities, and collaborate with engineering teams to win high- tech contracts in Aerospace, Defence, Space and Rail sectors.

Qualifications

• Technical/engineering background required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commercially minded with ability to build relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop new customers and markets across your territory.
• Meet engineering, procurement and commercial decision-makers.
• Understand customer applications and technical requirements.
• Develop opportunities from initial enquiry through quotation and negotiation.
• Manage your pipeline and develop strategic customer relationships.
• Work closely with experienced engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Attend customer visits, exhibitions and industry events.
