Job summary

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner/Enhanced Care Practitioner to join the Minor Injuries Unit at Malvern Community Hospital. The post is for 34.5 hours per week with autonomy to manage referrals, investigations, and patient care within PGD guidelines.

You will work as part of a supportive team, providing expert clinical care, mentoring junior staff, and adapting to changing demands in an ever-evolving emergency care

Qualifications

• Autonomous practitioner responsible for assessing, treating, discharging patients attending with minor injuries.
• Provide expert knowledge to junior team members and support role development in emergency care.
• Willingness to expand scope within the evolving emergency care environment.
• Deputise for MIU Lead in absences to maintain consistent service across units.

Responsibilities

• Be an autonomous practitioner delivering holistic clinical care in Minor Injury Unit.
• Assess physical, psychological and social needs, implement management plans, investigations, prescribing and referrals within PGDs.
