Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work in a GP practice in High Peak. The role offers structured, well-supported clinical sessions that suit an autonomous ACP in a primary care setting with steady patient demand.

Working alongside GPs, Nurses and wider clinical staff, you will deliver comprehensive assessments, make safe clinical decisions and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Clinical Practitioner training completed.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication; ability to work autonomously.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
