Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Normanton. The role offers structured, well-supported clinics with autonomous decision-making in a primary care environment, backed by clear workflows and steady patient demand.

You will work alongside GPs, nurses and clinical staff to perform comprehensive assessments, make safe clinical decisions, and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes across urgent care, routine appointments and triage.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner training at Level 7 is required.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) is desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings is preferred.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
