Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum ACP to join a GP practice in Cardiff. The role offers structured, well-supported clinical sessions for an autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

You will work alongside GPs, nurses and clinic staff to provide comprehensive assessments, safe clinical decisions and high-quality patient outcomes. Flexibility for long-term or short-term sessions is available.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner training at Level 7.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
