Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Bargoed. The role suits an experienced ACP from nursing, paramedic, or allied health backgrounds, delivering autonomous clinical assessments and safe decision-making within a primary care setting.

You will run your own clinics within a multidisciplinary team, supported by clear pathways and strong admin support to ensure smooth session delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7) required.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300) preferred.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.
