Job summary

Peoples Ford Edinburgh is offering a Scottish Modern Apprenticeship – Service Technician, SCQF Level 7. The role blends paid employment with recognised training under IMI and ESFA with block release at Lagta College Motherwell.

You will work with Ford technicians, gaining hands-on experience in vehicle systems and customer service. The program includes 40-hour weeks, 8:30am–5:30pm, with 20% OTJ learning and travel for block training.

Qualifications

• GCSE/National 5 in Maths and English (or equivalent) with predicted grades acceptable.
• Interest in vehicle servicing and repair across petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in routine servicing, inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Support fault-finding using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Learn to repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
