Job Title: Automotive Service Manager – HGV Network Support
Location: South of the UK (Home-Based)
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Bonus + Company Car
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Days
Overview: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Automotive Service Manager to support a network of commercial HGV workshops across the South of the UK. This is a home-based role with regular travel to service centres and customer sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing compliance, service performance, and customer satisfaction while helping to shape a high-performing service network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workshop Support: Provide operational support to a network of HGV service centres, ensuring best practices across hire, sales, and service functions.
- Customer Engagement: Act as a point of contact for key customers, supporting service agreements, maintenance schedules, and contract performance.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure workshops and staff adhere strictly to legal and internal standards including COSHH, health and safety, and environmental policies.
- Service Schedules & KPIs: Develop and monitor service schedules, KPIs, and workshop structures to drive efficiency and quality.
- Training & Development: Deliver training and onboarding support for new starters. Support continuous improvement and skills development across the network.
- Audit & Quality: Conduct regular audits and performance reviews across sites to ensure high standards of service and compliance.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in operational processes, workflow, and customer experience.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in an automotive service management role, preferably within the HGV/commercial vehicle sector.
- Strong understanding of workshop operations, service contracts, and commercial customer needs.
- Demonstrable knowledge of compliance regulations, including COSHH and health and safety.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel across the South of the UK.
- Full UK driving licence.
