Job summary

GM Performance Power Units seeks a Process Quality Engineer to ensure robust, repeatable, and defect-free manufacturing of Cadillac F1 Power Unit systems. The role covers in-house machining, additive, and assembly, aligning engineering intent with production capability and product performance.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on problem solving, APQP, SPC, MSA and CAPA experience in high-performance manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience in process or manufacturing quality.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, APQP/PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
• Experience supporting machining and/or additive manufacturing processes.
• Proven root cause analysis and CAPA experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process controls, inspection criteria, and quality standards for machining, additive manufacturing, and assembly.
• Lead APQP deliverables (PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows) and ensure process readiness.
• Review and approve FAI/FAIR and CTQ documentation.
• Drive nonconformance resolution and corrective actions using 8D, DMAIC, 5-Why.
