Job summary

GM Performance Power Units seeks a Process Quality Engineer to ensure robust, repeatable, and defect-free manufacturing and assembly of Cadillac F1 Power Unit systems. The role owns quality across in-house manufacturing, sub-assembly, and final assembly, aligning engineering intent with manufacturing capability and product performance.

The ideal candidate will apply APQP, SPC, MSA, and CAPA in high-performance environments, leading APQP deliverables, CFMEA, and control plans while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience in process/manufacturing quality and CAPA systems.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, APQP/PPAP, SPC, and MSA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process controls, inspection criteria, and quality standards for machining, additive manufacturing, and assembly.
• Lead APQP deliverables (PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows) and ensure process readiness.
• Review and approve FAI/FAIR and CTQ documentation.
• Drive resolution of nonconformances and process issues using structured root cause analysis (8D, DMAIC, 5-Why).
• Own and manage MRB, NCR/CAPA processes, ensuring effective closure and prevention of recurrence.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams.
