Placements24 is assisting a Randburg-based automotive OEM to find a skilled Mechanical Engineer. You will design, develop and validate mechanical components and subsystems, driving robust solutions from concept through release, using CATIA V5/V6 or Siemens NX.

You will perform FEA and thermal analyses, collaborate with styling, CAE, manufacturing and test teams, and ensure projects meet IATF 16949 standards, quality, and timelines.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop mechanical components and subsystems for automotive applications.
• Utilize CAD software (CATIA V5/V6, Siemens NX) for 3D modeling and drawings.
• Perform FEA, stress, and thermal analyses to validate designs.
• Collaborate with styling, CAE, manufacturing, and testing teams.
• Define technical requirements, specifications, and testing procedures.
• Manage design release and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Support vehicle integration and resolve issues during prototype builds.
• Investigate field issues and implement design improvements.
• Stay current with automotive trends and best practices.
• Prepare and present technical documentation and design reviews.
