Job summary

Sandicliffe Ltd in Lincoln is seeking an experienced General Sales Manager to lead our sales operation across new and used vehicles, driving performance, profitability and an outstanding customer journey from enquiry to handover. You will coach and develop a high-performing team, manage stock and pricing, and ensure FCA compliance while building strong relationships with manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Proven automotive sales management experience at GM/Head of Sales level.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Track record of delivering growth and profitability.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and coaching abilities.
• Commercial awareness with ability to analyse performance data.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the dealership's new and used vehicle sales operations.
• Drive sales performance, profitability, and KPI achievement.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
• Monitor and improve lead management, enquiry conversion, and retention.
• Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and brand representation.
• Manage stock, pricing, and marketing to optimise sales opportunities.
• Oversee Finance & Insurance performance while maintaining FCA compliance.
• Analyse business performance and implement effective sales strategies.
• Build relationships with manufacturer partners and stakeholders.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture.
