Job summary

Planet Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Administrator (Automotive) in Woking, Surrey, offering £15-£16 per hour. The role focuses on managing supplier communications, creating work instructions, and maintaining project documentation to avoid downtime.

You will read technical drawings, interact with customers, and support the operations team with risk assessments and FMEAs, while ensuring quality and timely project tracking in the QTrak system.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience in project management or a related position.
• Proficiency in using project management software.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for supplier emails and prioritise workload.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain job authorisation and understand account status with finance.
• Attend issue locations to gather project information, including photographs, samples and defect data.
• Create and maintain project Work Instructions and configure projects within the QTrak system.
• Complete project-specific Risk Assessments and Process FMEAs.
• Maintain the Project Tracker and record relevant timestamps.
• Develop Initial Training Documents for project personnel.
• Ensure warehouse stock is requested to operational areas at project start.
• Review project requirements to meet customer expectations.
• Coordinate customer reviews, approvals and project sign-offs.
• Escalate concerns that may impact project success.
• Ensure all project documentation is completed and controlled prior to project launch.
• Maintain and update the G&P Project Tracker to reflect current status.
• Ensure accurate shift handovers with required information.
