Major Recruitment is seeking an Automotive Technical Specialist in Coventry, United Kingdom, for full-time employment. You will tackle complex diagnostic repair cases, analyzing root causes and designing lasting solutions for unique technical puzzles.

The role emphasizes hands-on and remote diagnostics, customer service, and collaboration with retailers. The ideal candidate holds Master Technician status (or equivalent) with advanced electrical diagnosis skills and optional High Voltage/EV

Qualifications

• Must be trained and certified to Master Technician status (or equivalent).
• Advanced electrical diagnosis skills and experience.
• High Voltage / EV experience highly desirable.
• Ability to investigate and diagnose complex vehicle systems both hands‑on and remotely.
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Resolve requests with high-quality diagnostic and repair support to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor the repair process and report on gaps, advising on performance improvements.
• Review dealer processes and report on escalated cases for quality control.
• Coach and mentor retailer staff to identify root causes and prevent future needs.
• Build strong relationships with retailers and customers to improve effectiveness.
• Record complex technical issues to build a global knowledge base.
