Advanced Diagnostics Ltd, part of dormakaba, designs and manufactures car key programming and diagnostic equipment for locksmiths and automotive techs worldwide.

We are looking for a smart and curious Software Engineer to join our Reverse Engineering Team in Nuneaton (UK). You will tackle cryptanalysis, analyze microcontroller architectures, and develop C/C++ and Python tools to support vehicle communications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
• Proficiency in C and embedded systems development
• Understanding of software development methodologies
• Recent graduates welcome to apply
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Cryptanalysis of algorithms
• Analysis of various microcontroller architectures
• Using IDA Pro
• Logging vehicle communications (CAN Bus, K-Line)
• Developing C/C++ applications for our tools
• Using Python to develop in-house routines for vehicle communication
• Testing procedures on various vehicles
• Participating in Scrum meetings and reporting to the Scrum Master
• Using Jira to track tasks and activities
