Advanced Diagnostics is seeking a smart Software Engineer to join our Reverse Engineering Team in Nuneaton (UK). You will cryptanalyze automotive algorithms, analyze microcontroller architectures, use IDA Pro, and develop C/C++ tools for our diagnostic products.

You will log vehicle communications (CAN Bus, K-Line), write Python routines for internal workflows, and participate in Scrum while collaborating with automotive experts. Degree in related field required; recent graduates welcome.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C and embedded systems development.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Cryptanalysis of algorithms in automotive contexts.
  • Analysis of microcontroller architectures and using IDA Pro.
  • Logging vehicle communications (CAN Bus, K-Line).
  • Developing C/C++ applications for our tools.
  • Using Python to develop in-house routines for vehicle communication.
  • Testing procedures on various vehicles.
  • Participating in Scrum meetings and reporting to the Scrum Master.
  • Using Jira to track tasks and activities.
