Job summary

Morson Group is partnering with a world-leading automotive manufacturer to recruit experienced Composite Laminators for Essex. You will join a fast-paced production environment, preparing materials and tooling, performing hand lay-ups, and ensuring high-quality, defect-free components.

Shifts include day and night; LTD hourly rates apply (£22/day, £25/night). Rolling contract with potential extensions in a prestigious, quality-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Composite Laminator in high-end automotive, motorsport, aerospace or similar precision-led industry.
• Strong knowledge of composite materials, pre-preg processes and manufacturing techniques.
• Proficiency in composite lay-up, vacuum bagging and autoclave processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, lay-up books and work instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce defect-free components.
• Able to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare composite materials, tooling and moulds for lamination.
• Perform hand lay-up of pre-preg composites to technical specs.
• Ensure correct orientation, sequence and number of plies for each component.
• Vacuum-bag components, perform leak checks and prepare parts for cure.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping throughout the production process.

Job Description:

As a Composite Laminator, you will play a critical role in manufacturing advanced composite components for high-end automotive applications. Working to exacting standards, you will use your technical expertise to deliver high-quality, defect-free parts in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare composite materials, tooling and moulds for lamination.
• Complete accurate hand lay-up of pre-preg composite materials in accordance with technical specifications.
• Ensure the correct orientation, sequence and number of plies for each component.
• Vacuum-bag components, complete leak checks and prepare parts for cure.
• Maintain consistently high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping throughout the production process.

Skills and Experience:
