Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited's client, a fast-fit automotive business, is seeking an Assistant Centre Manager at their Blandford centre. You will work with the Centre Manager to run daily operations, optimize workflow, support the workshop team and hit commercial targets.

Requirements include a background in automotive, willingness to step into management, and a full UK driving licence. Salary is £36,000-£38,000 with OTE around £6,000, plus benefits and overtime.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence, held for at least 6 months.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical working environment.
• Strong automotive product knowledge.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and commercial awareness skills.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to support the workshop team.

Responsibilities

• Support Centre Manager with day-to-day running.
• Coordinate workshop staff and manage daily workflows.
• Maintain stock and inventory values.
• Coach and mentor workshop mechanics to help achieve customer satisfaction and business targets.
• Assist technicians with mechanical issues when required.
• Support achievement of commercial sales KPIs and centre performance.
• Handle customer enquiries and identify opportunities to grow the business.
• Develop and support local customer accounts.
• Ensure strict workshop compliance and high operational standards.
