Job summary

Assistant Centre Manager sought for a fast-growing automotive business in Workington. You will work with the Centre Manager to run daily operations, optimise workflow, and support the workshop team to meet targets.

Applicants should have automotive industry experience and be ready for a step into management. Location is Workington with a 08:30–17:30 schedule and a Saturday rota. Benefits include extensive holiday, upskilling, and pension.

Qualifications

• Full clean UK driving licence (Essential).
• Experience in a technical or mechanical environment.
• Strong automotive product knowledge.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Manager with day-to-day running of the centre.
• Coordinate workshop staff and manage daily workflows to ensure efficiency.
• Maintain strict control over stock and inventory values.
• Coach and mentor workshop mechanics to achieve customer satisfaction and targets.
• Step into the workshop to assist technicians when required.
• Support achievement of commercial sales KPIs and overall centre performance.
• Handle customer enquiries and grow local customer accounts.
• Ensure workshop compliance and high operational standards.
