Job summary

Lawtronic Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Controls & Automation Project / Design Engineer to lead projects from concept through commissioning, delivering automation, control systems and LV switchgear solutions.

The role requires experience in industrial automation, EPLAN and AutoCAD, and a willingness to travel within the UK. You will prepare FDS, design schematics and provide technical documentation for diverse industrial applications.

Qualifications

HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in industrial automation and electrical design.
Experience with EPLAN and AutoCAD; Galaxy knowledge is a plus.
PLC/HMI programming and commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

Manage control system and LV switchgear projects from enquiry to commissioning.
Prepare Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and technical documentation.
Produce quotations and project estimates.
Design electrical schematics, control panel layouts, backplate layouts, and LV switchgear systems using EPLAN, AutoCAD.
Develop and maintain build documentation for volume manufactured products.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
