Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve automated distribution equipment in a fast-paced operation. You will handle electrical and mechanical faults, support continuous improvement, and maintain CMMS records to ensure safety and uptime.

The role offers a £52,000 annual salary, a 3-shift pattern, and a modern automated environment in a logistics setting. Relevant qualifications and proven fault-finding skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent).
• Experience in automated warehouse, distribution, FMCG, manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with conveyors, sortation systems, or automated handling equipment.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across automated distribution equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise operational downtime.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on conveyors, motors, sensors, drives, pneumatics, and automated systems.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Work with PLC-controlled systems and assist with basic fault diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
• Collaborate with operations teams to maximise site performance and efficiency.
