Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking an Automation Maintenance Engineer at Leeds Mail Centre to ensure smooth operation of cutting-edge automation systems. You will perform preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance, and collaborate with the Engineering Manager and team leaders to log faults and improve performance.

The ideal candidate has electrical and mechanical engineering qualifications, PLC knowledge, a solid safety mindset, and a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (ONC/NVQ3 or equivalent).
• Hands-on automation maintenance experience, PLC knowledge preferred.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Keep automation assets performing through preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager and team leaders, log faults and generate reports.
• Diagnose and resolve automation breakdowns quickly to maintain operations.
• Monitor performance and work with stakeholders to boost output.
• Own Continuous Improvement projects to enhance machinery in the Mail Centre.
