Job summary

Brunel Automation Engineer role based in the UK involves maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding and repairs on automated systems including gates, barriers, doors and shutters across a nationwide customer base.

The role suits a self-driven, organised engineer who takes pride in high standards and is keen to develop their career within a growing department. A full UK driving licence is required and you’ll work with leading automation providers.

Qualifications

• Experience with automated gates, barriers, doors, or shutters.
• Strong electrical competency and fault-finding ability.
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
• Breakdown attendance and fault diagnosis.
• Repair and remedial works on automated systems.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Ensuring systems operate safely and remain compliant with current standards.
• Accurate completion of service records and reports.
• Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent service.
