Job summary

Smart Search Technical Ltd is seeking an experienced Automatic Gates & Barriers Engineer to cover the North West England. The role involves installation, servicing, and fault repair of automatic gates and barriers at government facilities, stadiums, and other secure sites.

You will perform preventative maintenance, travel to client sites, and work to maintain high security standards. DBS clearance is required, and a valid UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with automatic gates and barriers installation/maintenance.
• Ability to fault-find and repair electrical/mechanical components.
• Capable of working independently and managing workload.
• Strong customer-facing communication and professional service.
• Must have UK driving licence and be willing to obtain DBS clearance.
• Willing to travel across North West England to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Installation of automatic gates and barriers.
• Planned preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Fault finding, repairs and breakdown response.
• Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.
• Adjusting, repairing and replacing components.
• Working on automatic access and security systems.
• Completing service reports and paperwork.
• Working directly with customers and maintaining a professional standard of service.
• Travelling to customer sites across the North West of England.
• Working within government facilities, football stadiums and other secure sites.
