Job summary

Zest in Manchester is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their fast-paced FMCG manufacturing team. You will develop, implement, and maintain PLC programs to automate processes and improve efficiency, and design HMI/SCADA interfaces for real-time monitoring.

You will troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA issues, validate systems, and provide training to operations and maintenance. The ideal candidate holds at least Level 3 Electrical qualification and has hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley or

Qualifications

Minimum Level 3 Electrical qualification.
Experience in programming PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and working with HMI/SCADA systems.
Strong understanding of industrial automation principles and best practices.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain PLC programs to automate processes and improve efficiency.
Design and configure HMI/SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control of industrial processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve PLC/HMI/SCADA issues.
