Job summary

Mizkan Europe Ltd in Middleton is seeking an Automation Engineer to support shift engineers and own PLC/HMI/SCADA systems on a fast-paced site.

You’ll work with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs, tackle faults, lead improvement projects, and help shape the automation roadmap across the site.

Qualifications

• Strong PLC fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to writing PLC programmes from scratch is desirable.
• Experience with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
• Exposure to HMI/SCADA systems.
• Experience in FMCG environment is a plus.
• Continuous improvement or project leadership experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support automation improvement projects across the site.
• Own and enhance our PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
• Identify repeat issues and engineer them out of the process.
• Contribute to critical site upgrades.
• Help shape the automation roadmap behind Mizkan’s brands.
• Collaborate with external Siemens and AB support.
