Job summary
Mizkan Europe Ltd in Middleton is seeking an Automation Engineer who can own and drive improvements across the site, from bottling to packaging and line upgrades.
You will work with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs and SCADA, across modern and legacy systems, tackling faults, deploying projects and shaping the automation roadmap for the UK's loved brands.
Collaborate with two fellow automation engineers and external Siemens/AB support to deliver reliable, efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Strong PLC fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to writing PLC programmes from scratch is desirable.
- Experience with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
- Exposure to HMI/SCADA systems.
- Ideally, experience in an FMCG environment.
- Continuous improvement or project leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support automation improvement projects across the site.
- Own and enhance our PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
- Identify repeat issues and engineer them out of the process.
- Contribute to critical site upgrades.
- Help shape the automation roadmap behind some of the UK's best-loved brands.
