Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a hands-on Automation Engineer for a leading automated distribution centre in the UK. The role focuses on PLC, PC, and controls fault management, serving as the shift technical expert to maintain, optimise, and continuously improve critical equipment.

This senior, multi-skilled maintenance position offers progression through several department routes within a reputable company. The role is based in Trentham with 4 on 4 off days and nights shifts.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Experience with PLCs, ideally fault-finding using inputs and outputs.

Responsibilities

• Modify PLC programmes as required.
• Perform pre-planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced industrial factory.
• Fault-find electrical and mechanical issues.
