Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking an Automation Engineer for a highly automated distribution centre in the UK. The role focuses on PLC, PC, and controls fault management, acting as the technical lead for the shift and ensuring critical equipment is maintained and optimised.

This hands-on position requires multi-skilled maintenance experience in manufacturing, PLC programming capability, and a proactive approach to reliability and improvement.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Be able to modify on PLC programmes as a minimum.
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in fast paced industrial factory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise critical automation equipment.
• Be the go-to technical specialist for the shift on PLC issues.
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes and equipment performance.
